The Mallard family has fallen into a routine. When a migrant duck family lands on their pond, sharing tales of exotic places, Pam manages to convince Mack to lead a family expedition, starting in New York City and culminating in the tropical paradise of Jamaica. As the Mallards journey south for the winter, their carefully laid plans quickly unravel.
