"Rauniot" is an isometric post-apocalyptic point-and-click adventure game, steeped in challenging puzzles and classic gameplay elements, set against the stunning, finely-crafted backdrop of Northern Finland. The year is 1975, and civilization teeters on the brink following a cataclysmic natural disaster. This event precipitates riots, conflicts, and wars—the dark side of humanity laid bare. As continents succumb to the encroaching seas, the fallout from ruined nuclear power plants and warheads spreads. Few survive the ensuing devastation. In the aftermath, children are born into mutation or death, often taking their mothers with them. Fathers, alone and despairing, turn to cannibalism as the food supply dwindles. Amidst this bleak landscape, both nature and humanity struggle for survival, seeking a new equilibrium. Yet, hope endures. Some individuals find just enough trust to form groups, providing essentials like protection, sustenance, potable water, medicine, power, and the knowledge to forge a better existence.
