Netflix Documentary "Winter On Fire: Ukraine's Fight For Freedom" October 9th
Exactly how a protest against 'backing out' of closer trade relations with the European Union led to the current political and military crisis in the Ukraine is the subject of a new Netflix original documentary.
It looks at the very beginning of the peaceful protests against then Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych who subsequently fled to Russia after his position became untenable following the brutal crackdown on protesters. While Winter on Fire may have an inspirational message of the people making their voices heard, today Ukraine remains in a state of proxy conflict with Russia.
