The Chronicles of Narnia just to another step closer to returning to the big screen as work on The Silver Chair script is complete.

Screenwriter David Magee, who received Oscar nominations for his work on Life of Pi and Finding Neverland scripts, shared the news via Twitter that work on the first draft of what will be the fourth movie in the Narnia saga has reached a satisfying conclusion.

In a since-deleted tweet, Magee said: “Completed the final draft of The Silver Chair today. I’ve had the immense pleasure to work on the project for over a year now. So fulfilling"

Despite the sudden removal of the tweet, the good folks over at Narniaweb reached out to Magee who confirmed the news.

There’s still a long way to go before the fourth novel makes it to the big screen: there’s no firm timescale at the moment, the script still needs approval by The Mark Gordon Company – the new custodians of the Narnia saga, and then there’s the pesky issue of financing. But there’s hoping its smooth sailing and that we’ll soon see The Silver Chair on the silver screen.
