Expeditions: Viking Announced For PC
Indie developer Logic Artists has announced that Expeditions: Viking will be the latest entry in their turn-based historical series.
Expeditions: Viking will be a tactical RPG where players inherit the leadership of their clan. Adventure will draw players to far-away lands while they defend their home from enemies, both foreign and domestic."
Viking will be a successor to Expeditions: Conquistador, the game that let players conquer the New world in the 16th Century when Spanish explorers and soldiers reached the shores of America and began the search for gold, fame, and adventure into a treacherous wilderness where they faced hunger, disease, and dangerous predators.
Creative director at Logic Artists, Jonas Waever, had this to say about the new project: “We are very excited to return to our roots in the RPG genre and as developers from the Nordic region, to make a game in a setting that is a lot closer to home than anything we've done before. We're improving on the Conquistador formula with deeper and more dynamic systems for character progression, combat abilities, role-playing, choice and consequence, and expanding on our favorite part of Conquistador: camping and wilderness survival."
No release date has been set for Expeditions: Viking as of now, but the official announcement trailer is here to let us know what we can expect from the game when it launches.
