There have been rumbles emanating from Hollywood that we were about to see a dust up between cinematic behemoths Godzilla and King Kong, and now its official – Warner Bros. are making Godzilla Vs King Kong.

With Legendary Pictures moving to Kong: Skull Island to its former partner Warner Bros. from Universal, just so we can have a dust up with Godzilla, the pair have come across all Marvel.

The plan is for Kong: Skull Island (which Jordan Vogt-Roberts is about to start shooting) to arrive as planned on March 10, 2017, followed by the Godzilla sequel in June 2018 and Godzilla Vs. Kong in 2020.

"All-powerful monsters become towering heroes for a new generation, revealing a mythology that brings together Godzilla and Legendary’s King Kong in an ecosystem of other giant super-species, both classic and new. Monarch, the human organization that uncovered Godzilla in the 2014 film, will expand their mission across multiple releases,” says the blurb released to The Hollywood Reporter.

‘Heroes’ suggests that we’re about to have the foes begrudgingly accept one another after their little spat. Maybe we’ll see more classic monsters join the fray in an all-star monster team up.
