The First Trainspotting 2 Teaser Trailer is Here
There might not be a lot happening in this new teaser but it’s damned exciting nonetheless – it’s our first look at Sick Boy, Renton, Spud and Begbie and they’re blatantly ignoring the yellow line.
In a pure shot of nostalgia, the boys of Trainspotting are back in a trailer composed of all your memories (the orange poster, Lust for Life, that iconic shot) with 100% more Robert Carlyle and 100% less Kevin McKidd on account of his character’s cat based demise in the last film.
What is new is the T2 moniker which, if we’re honest, we’re not sold on (it’s far too close to T2: Judgement Day for our liking – unless Sick Boy was somehow complicit in the formation of Skynet), but we’re willing to let that lie for the pure rush of seeing Ewen Bremner, Ewan McGregor, Sick Boy, and Robert Carlyle together again.
Loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s novel sequel Porno, Trainspotting 2 arrives in UK cinemas on January 27, 2017.
