Dwayne Johnson To Star In Disney's Untitled 'Jungle Cruise' Film
Disney is getting closer to making their presently untitled movie about their Jungle Cruise theme park, which focuses on the safari ride and is said to be a period piece. Dwayne Johnson is now attached.
It was believed that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were part of the project at some stage but that may now have fallen through. Disney is keen to push for this movie as The Pirates of the Caribbean's success has been tremendous for their brand-name theme park. The original ride itself has been retrofitted to reflect the Johnny Depp films.
A new Haunted Mansion featuring Ryan Gosling is now also in production as a second attempt following the less-than-stellar reception of the earlier film starring Eddie Murphy. There remains no official plot or release schedule for the Jungle Cruise film project from Disney.
