MGM Proceeds With 'Creed 2', Due November 2017
The sequel to Creed is getting the full weight of MGM behind it with Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa now training Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Johnson, the son of his former rival Apollo Creed. It'll be back in cinema late next year.
Production will need to ramp up quickly this year if it's to meet MGM's November 2017 window. Director Ryan Coogler will not be returning to the helm for Creed 2 as he's off directing Black Panther. There's no hint yet of an exact plot for the follow-up. Michael B. Jordon is confirmed as returning as Adonis in the sequel.
Creed 2 is currently scheduled for November 2017.
