Workplace comedy, Superstore, staring Ugly Betty star America Ferrera, has been renewed by NBC for a third season, reports IGN.
Following the early renewal of NBC’s other comedy The Good Place, Workplace will also be returning for a 22 episode season. Created by Justin Spitzer (Scrubs), Workplace follows a group of workers employed at a department store in St. Louis. In addition to Ferrera, the series also stars Ben Feldman, Colton Dunn and Lauren Ash.
NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke called Superstore "one of the smartest and funniest comedies" currently on television.
"Through the show's expertly drawn characters, our producers and cast do a remarkable job touching on many issues in which audiences can relate," Salke said. "To its credit, not only does Superstore make us laugh, but it makes us think as well."
