Two New Images From Black Mirror Season Four

Netflix have unveiled two new images from the upcoming fourth season of dystopian tech-horror anthology series Black Mirror.

Following on the heels of a teaser trailer in August which featured brief clips from each of the six episodes as well as their titles: ‘Crocodile’, ‘ArkAngel’, ‘Hang the DJ’, ‘USS Callister’, ‘Metalhead’, and ‘Black Museum’, the two images are from ‘USS Callister’ and ‘ArkAngel’ – the former being a parody of the original Star Trek series.

The first image from ‘USS Callister’ – Written by Charlie Brooker & William Bridge and directed by Toby Haynes - sees Jesse Plemmons in the captain’s chair of a spaceship flanked by his fellow crew members and what appears to be a blue-faced alien. As the initial teaser showed, their ship appeared to be under attack by an alien force of some kind which emitted a blue light, so clearly the image comes from happier times for the crew.

The second image from ‘ArkAngel’ – written by Charlie Brooker and directed by Jodie Foster - shows a concerned mother looking on as a doctor implants something into her daughter’s head – which is very reminiscent of season one episode The Entire History of You which had technology embedded behind the user’s ear that allowed them to access and replay their memories.
