Netflix's Castlevania has been given rave reviews and the good news is a second season has been confirmed, with the number of episodes doubling to eight.
It was showrunner Adi Shankar who had actually given away the secret that Castlevania Season 2 was already a sure thing in a now deleted Facebook post. Netflix has decided to make it official now Season 1 has debuted.
"A vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly beasts controlled by Dracula himself. Inspired by the classic video games," blurbs Netflix in their synopsis.
As it stands the principle cast and crew will be returning for the second season including Adi Shankar and writer Warren Ellis, as well as the voice acting cast that includes Graham McTavish, Richard Armitage, James Callis, and Alejandra Reynoso. Meanwhile Ubisoft has signed up Adi Shankar to work on an Assassin's Creed anime series, with fans of the action adventure franchise curious as to when in history it will be set.
Castlevania Season 1 aired July 7th on Netflix with four episodes. Season 2 is scheduled for 2018 with eight episodes.
