First Teaser Trailer for The Disaster Artist
Oh, Hi Mark! After a successful time touring the festival circuit – where the film not only received awards but became an unlikely contender for early Oscar buzz – we’ve now got our first look at James Franco’s movie about the making of the worst movie ever made, The Disaster Artist.
Adapted from Tom Bissell and Greg Sestero’s book The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the film follows the burgeoning friendship between Greg and the mercurial Tommy Wiseau, the mysterious, enigmatic and utter alien actor, writer and director of The Room, the worst movie ever made that became a cult phenomenon.
Dave Franco is co-starring as Sestero, with his older brother directing and playing Wiseau, who thought his filmmaking dreams had come true when he got to shoot the drama, only to watch it become a cult sensation for all the wrong reasons.
The film also boasts a cast that includes Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Zoey Deutch, Alison Brie, Josh Hutcherson, Paul Scheer and a wealth of cameos from the likes of Bryan Cranston, Adam Scott and Kristen Bell.
The Disaster Artist will be out in US cinemas on 8 December.
