Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition Release Date Confirmed
Interactive movie game Night Trap is returning to celebrate its 25th anniversary of saving teens from vampires, and it re-releases on PC and PS4 this August.
Originally Night Trap launched for the SEGA CD console back in October 1992 before coming to Europe in May 1993. It eventually crossed over to PC and Mac in 1994. Now the 25th Anniversary in going back to consoles.
The game is primarily presented through full motion video (FMV) where you take the role of a special agent tasked with watching over a house where teenage girls are visiting. They're unaware of the real danger they're in as vampires - known as Augers - are targeting them for their blood. The agent must watch over and eavesdrop on conversations for clues, and trigger traps to stop attacks.
At the time Night Trap became a source of controversy in the United States for it's 'violence and sexual aggression against women' - it played a role in a way leading to the creation of the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) in North America.
Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition releases on PC and PlayStation 4 August 15th, 2017 and later on Xbox One.
