Stephen King's Pet Sematary Remake Finds Its Directors
Paramount are hoping that the good run of Stephen King movies continues as they’ve just announced who will be helming their Pet Sematery remake.
Variety (via IGN) reports Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, directors of the indie horror film Starry Eyes, have been tapped by Paramount to helm the horror remake, which is based on the 1983 Stephen King novel of the same name.
The film will be a reinterpretation of the novel and the 1989 movie of the same name, which was directed by Mary Lambert and written by Stephen King and Steven Schneider.
The remake will be written by Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian producing the project. Alexandra Loewy will serve as executive producer for Paramount. So far, there’s no release date in place and there have been no casting announcements.
