The long-awaited sixth expansion for Blizzard's 12-year old MMO, World of Warcraft: Legion, will be launching on August 30 according to the developer.

Legion brings with it an increased level cap of 110, a new continent, new customisable artefact weapons, new dungeons, and a brand new class, Demon Hunter.

According to Blizzard CEO & Co-Founder, Mike Morhaime, "Legion opens a dark and thrilling new chapter in one of the Warcraft series' greatest conflicts, and things will never be the same for some of Azeroth's most iconic heroes and villains."

"This expansion is loaded with features and content that give players whole new ways to explore the world and customize their heroes. We're looking forward to sending everyone into battle against the Burning Legion this August."

Announced back during Gamescom last year, Legion is currently available pre-order which grants early access to the Demon Hunter class.
