First Photos from the Set of Ocean's 8
Production is underway on Warner Bros. Oceans 8, the all-female heist flick and during location shooting in New York, we got our first glimpse of Cate Blanchet and Sandra Bullock in action.
Oceans 8 see’s Bullock playing the ex-con sister of Clooney’s Danny Ocean. Blanchett will play right-hand woman to Bullock, like Pitt’s role as Rusty Ryan. The all-star, all-female cast also includes Anne Hathaway (Interstellar), Rihanna (Battleship), Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project), Helena Bonham Carter (Cinderella), and Awkwafina (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising).
Though the film won’t debut until summer 2018, filming has already begun in New York and ComingSoon.net has pictures from the set.
While the photos don’t give us much to go on, we could hypothesis that the pair are very much in the planning stage of an elaborate heist which is set to see them steal a necklace from the Met Ball and then pinning the theft on a “villainous gallery owner.”
Ocean’s 8, which is directed by Gary Ross, is set to break in to cinemas on June 8th, 2018.
