Afro Samurai 2 Was So Awful It's Been Pulled, Cancelled, and Refunded
Episodic action romp Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of the Kuma was a complete and utter failure according to developer Versus Evil who has not only pulled the game from all online stores but have cancelled Volume 2 and Volume 3 of the game.
Not only that, Versus Evil is also offering refunds for the game. "We could not do, in good conscience, Volume 2 and Volume 3," says General Manager Steve Escalante. "So we’ve begun the process, it’s been a long process to figure it out because Sony has never really had to do this in this way, but we’re returning all the money. So across the board we’re putting out an apology saying 'sorry about this.'"
Critics pointed out the issues in the game from day one as being an awful script, inconsistent frame rate, and disappointing boss fights. It's not often we see a game being pulled from existence for simply being awful but at least refunds are being processed.
