GTR 3 Announced

Simbin have announced GTR 3 (yet again, but for realsies this time) expanding the sports racing simulation series to cover more of the FIA GT Championship.

It will be coming to PC and consoles next year, with talk that it will be for both the racing simulation lovers on PC as well as offering something to the more 'casual' console gamer, presumably through offering up differing game modes?

"The plan will be at some point to branch off," said Allan Speed of GTR 3 developer Simbin Studios UK. "It will be proper simulation but for the console version the casual user is just as important. At some point RaceRoom will switch over to the technology we are creating and we'll just take that a different route, as in simulation with support for both console and PC."

GTR 3 is built using Unreal Engine 4 so there's little doubt it will be pretty looking. Development remains in the early stages with Simbin Studios UK only having been formed back in October 2016, but they plan to have something ready within six months from now.

GTR 3 is in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation with release planned for 2018.
