New Transformers: The Last Knight Teaser Explores Their Robo-Past
Anthony Hopkins is on narrator duty for a potted history of the Transformers in the latest teaser for The Last Knight. And he also says ‘Dude’. Sold!
The latest movie sees the Transformer/humanity relationship at an all-time low, with war raging and Optimus Prime still gone, off in space. Forming an alliance of ridiculously named characters, including Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), Sir Edmund Burton (Hopkins), professor Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock) and Lt. Colonel William Lennox (Josh Duhamel), Oh, and Bumblebee – Could the solution to saving the future lie in the past? Probably!
The idea of the Transformers existing from the time of the dinosaurs was first touted in the Age of Extinction, so it’ll be interesting to see just when humanity first interacted with the Transformers and why, for instance, there have been no recorded instances of Transformers interacting with medieval serfs?
The answers to this and other questions will come when Transformers: The Last Knight makes its bow on 23 June.
