Geoff Johns Teases New DC Comics TV Show
A new DC Comics superhero TV show is in the works according to CCO of DC Entertainment Geoff Johns.
Teasing the announcement in a countdown of the five most anticipated DC events of 2017, one of which is watching new seasons of several DC TV series, like The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Johns then promised that one of the shows he's looking forward to "will be announced soon."
It’s unclear whether this will be another addition to The CW stable or a reference to Syfy's Krypton, which only has a pilot ordered so far, or Fox's Black Lighting, which is simply in development, as neither of these shows have been ordered to series yet.
Away from TV, Johns also tweeted that he’s returning to writer, posting an image of Dr. Manhattan, hinting that his new project will be Watchmen related. The last comic book Johns worked on was Rebirth, which teased a connection to Watchmen in the final pages. Johns took a short break from working on comics to help Warner Bros. oversee the DC Cinematic Universe.
