Ghost Of Tsushima Announced For PlayStation 4
Sucker Punch has announced Ghost of Tsushima, a dark tale of a Samurai fighting to survive and adapt following an invasion of Japan by the Mongol Empire.
The inFamous developer made the reveal with an announcement trailer at Sony's Paris Games Week where we get a very teasing sneak peak at the burning vengeance of an honourable Samurai who has been outmatched by the invaders.
The game is set in the year 1274 and we'll have to adapt new and unconventional methods of fighting, while shedding the traditions of the Samurai if the Mongol invasion is to be repelled. The trailer shows a cunning enemy that has studied Japan - it's people and culture - in order to break the will of any who'd opposed the Empire.
"The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan--until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won't lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting--the way of the Ghost--as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan."
Ghost of Tsushima releases on PlayStation 4 in 2018.
