The 'highly cinematic' sci-fi thriller Past Cure will be releasing on PC and console in February 2018 announces Phantom 8 Studio.
It will launch with English audio but support localised French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian subtitles. In Past Cure we - as Ian - must find who is responsible for experimenting on him and unlocking powerful telekinetics.
"Past Cure tells the story of Ian, a tormented man desperate to rediscover his lost identity. A highly cinematic experience, Past Cure offers an enigmatic plot as the story twists between dreams and reality leaving you guessing throughout. Dark dream sequences intertwine with a gritty but realistic world, and gameplay threads between stealth, action, survival and puzzle. The characters that Ian encounters will have a notable impact on both gameplay and your surroundings."
It sounds a little bit like Free Radical's 2004 gem Second Sight where a guy finds himself imbued with incredible mind-bending powers. In Past Cure the use of Ian's abilities comes at the cost of his sanity so overuse will lead to visual and auditory hallucinations.
Past Cure releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 February 2nd, 2018.
