After the success of the gorgeously animated fighter Skull Girls, Lab Zero is returning to the crowdfunding scene with their previously announced RPG Indivisible.

The developer is asking for a fixed funding goal of $1,500,000 but willing fans have already donated 8% in 23 hours. However, the actual budge is $3,500,000 with 505 Games providing the additional $2,000,000 if the campaign succeeds.

The campaign describes Indivisible as being inspired by classic games such as Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid but "with the unique character, world, and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for, and will feature a stunning soundtrack by legendary game music composer Hiroki Kikuta".

A playable prototype is already available for Windows PC's but a Mac and Linux build will be available in the next couple of days.

Indivisible boasts a battle system reminiscent of Valkyrie Profile, each character is mapped to the face buttons and tapping the button will cause them to attack. Chaining combos together in the active battles is an essential strategy, allowing the party to cast spells, defend themselves, and even perform super attacks.

The game is riddled with interesting mechanics, such as Ajna's inner world where she can communicate with the "incarnations" she has absorbed into herself. We recommend you take a look over at the campaign itself.
