Assassin’s Creed Anime Series Announced
Producer Adi Shankar, responsible for Netflix's Castlevania series, has announced he's partnering with Ubisoft for an anime-style Assassin’s Creed show.
Precise details about the upcoming project remains a mystery but fans are hoping that its anime approach could mean it dives into the Brotherhood's Japanese roots as they battle Templar influences. It will feature an original story set in the AC universe.
"I'm happy to let you guys know that I've selected my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin's Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin's Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong," posted Adi Shankar on Facebook.
Fans are already eager for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: order which visits ancient Egypt at a time the pyramids were all shiny and new with a vast open world to explore, and a return to some naval gameplay. Shankar says he's been a fan of the action adventure series since the very first Assassin's Creed.
Assassin's Creed Origins releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 October 27th, 2017.
Castlevania debuts on Netflix this week on July 7th, 2017.
