Could the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi drop this Monday?
IGN have done a bit of sleuthing and uncovered evidence to suggest that they’ll be a new trailer and it will coincide with advance tickets for the movie going on sale.
Exhibit A is a post from Starwarsnews.net, which has confirmed with 'long time source' that the new trailer will debut October 9 during Monday night football. This is corroborated by a Reddit post that appears to have confirmation from AMC theatres that ticket pre-sales will begin for The Last Jedi on the same date.
Exhibit B is a tweet from the last Jedi himself, Mark Hamill, who said "watch Monday Night Football on Monday October 9th - for no reason in particular" on September 19th. Hamill has since deleted the tweet.
If the rumours are to be believed, it wouldn't be the first time a Star Wars trailer has gone live during a Disney-owned ESPN event; a Force Awakens trailer aired during Monday Night Football in 2015.
