Fallout 4 VR Confirmed For E3 2017

Bethesda Softworks will be bringing the hotly anticipated virtual reality version of Fallout 4 to E3 2017, with many finger-crossing for a surprise launch.

The VR version of the latest instalment to Fallout 4 has been in the works a while now. It's an ideal candidate to see what a VR experience can be considering the Fallout universe has many rich environments, and there's the whole settlement building thing to take advantage of.

"You can’t even imagine what it’s like, playing in VR and how realistic it looks and everywhere you turn your head. It is going to blow your mind. It is the craziest thing you’ve ever seen," enthuses Pete Hines.

It's unclear exactly how the game will function in VR as it wasn't built for it which means that, most likely, it will involve the player being teleported about the game world instead of walking. VR has serious motion-sickness issues with physical movement which is often side-stepped by teleporting the user about. Bethesda's Todd Howard did say they were experimenting with other possible solutions.

Fallout 4 VR could hopefully be playable for attendees at E3 2017 with an actual release date hopefully close.
