Super NES Classic Edition Announced For September
Nintendo has made it official with the announcement of the 'Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition', which will hit stores September.
The revival of the Super Nintendo was already known considering the original Nintendo mini-console launch. Now the even more popular home console will be getting the same treatment as fans yearn for gamer days of yore.
The Super NES Classic Edition will include 21 pre-installed classic titles from the SNES catalogue and easily hooks up to any TV via HDMI. A rather interesting development is the inclusion of a never-before released Star Fox 2, sequel to the original Star Fox.
“While many people from around the world consider the Super NES to be one of the greatest video game systems ever made, many of our younger fans never had a chance to play it,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With the Super NES Classic Edition, new fans will be introduced to some of the best Nintendo games of all time, while longtime fans can relive some of their favorite retro classics with family and friends."

How many units of the Super NES Classic Edition will be produced? "We aren’t providing specific numbers, but we will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition," said Nintendo in a statement. Currently they will be shipping this new mini-console til the end of calendar 2017.
Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition releases September 29th, 2017 for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
