Frontier Developments' spiritual successor to RollerCoaster Tycoon is ready to thrill us officially from tomorrow as Planet Coaster launches for PC.

The British studio is well known for its theme park building pedigree and returns with an all-new IP to show they've still got the magic. This time around Frontier have gone all out to help builders and designers to really customise and give their creations a personal touch.

Another big leap forward in Planet Coaster is the more realistic behaviour of park visitors as they 'flow' around one another and tend to keep in family or friend groups. The game was announced back in January 2015 and originally named 'Coaster Park Tycoon' but that wasn't catchy enough and was too close to RollerCoaster Tycoon, their previous creation owned by Atari.

Steam Workshop support is a major feature which includes sharing entire maps and completed theme parks.

Frontier followed a simialr Early Access route for Planet Coaster as they did for space sim Elite: Dangerous, offering fans a chance at accessing rough Alpha builds for early orders. By the end of April 2016 the new IP had already achieved gross of nearly $2 million.

Planet Coaster releases on PC November 17th, 2017.
