Sofia Boutella Joins HBO's Fahrenheit 451 Adaptation
Soon to be seen tormenting Tom Cruise as the titular Mummy, Sofia Boutella has signed up for HBO’s adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451.
She’ll be joining Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon in the TV film which will depict a future where the media is an opiate, history is outlawed, and “firemen” burn books. Jordan will play Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor, and struggles to regain his humanity. Shannon will play Beatty, Montag’s fireman captain and mentor. Boutella will play Clarisse, an informant caught between the competing interests of Montag and Beatty.
The adaptation will be directed by Ramin Bahrani who is also co-writing with Amir Naderi. You’ll be able to catch Boutella in The Mummy which is released on 9th June and Atomic Blonde, co-staring alongside Charlize Theron, which will make its bow in July.
There's no news yet on when Fahrenheit 451 will air.
