The teaser trailer surprise for EA DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II has leaked, most likely by rebel scum who assuredly tasted the might of the Death Star shortly after.
The trailer is just half-a-minute long but what it contains is enough to put a big stupid grin on Star Wars and Battlefront fan faces, such as being treated to a quick peek at a story campaign. Also Battlefront II spreads "across all eras".
The story campaign seems to be set right after the destruction of the second Death Star and, from what is teased, it appears we're on the side of Imperial forces. DICE could focus on just one major story arc or perhaps this was just the Imperial side of things. It could also just switch back-and-forth between the Empire and the Alliance. We follow the "untold soldier's story" meaning we're likely filling the boots of an original character and not playing as any major hero or villain.
Battlefront II is also covering 'all eras' meaning there's a trip back to the separatist days of the droid army and the Republic clones, and of course the new movies with Kylo Ren seen near the end. It's very unlikely that DICE would be including BioWare's The Old Republic era - though that would be absolutely amazing.
Whatever the Electronic Arts Empire has in store for the galaxy will be laid bare at E3 2017 in June, but for right now the Star Wars Celebration event is being held April 13-16 at the Orange County Convention Center, Florida - where this teaser trailer has leaked from.
Star Wars Battlefront II releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Q3 2017.
