Blade Runner 2049: New International TV Spot
The latest international teaser for Blade Runner 2049 not only offers us some sumptuous visuals but, unlike the previous trailers, shows off a few of the action set pieces too.
It’s been 30 years since the events of the original Blade Runner movie and a lot has changed. In Deckard’s old job of hunting ‘skin jobs’ is K, played by Ryan Gosling, who’s at the centre of a conspiracy that can only be answered by tracking down the long-since disappeared Deckard.
At the heart of the conspiracy is Niander Wallace, played by Jared Leto, who, as the trailer points out, is attempting to take over the world by manufacturing replicants in the film. If anything, this new Blade Runner 2049 promo doubles down on the dire situation that K is in and why it prompts him to seek out Deckard.
Looking to answer the franchises long-standing questions – as well as telling a story both familiar and fresh – Blade Runner 2049 also stars Robin Wright, Ana De Armas, Dave Bautista and Mackenzie Davis and is directed by Denis Villeneuve.
Blade Runner 2049 will hit cinemas on Oct 6, 2017.
