Frontier Developments are tackling the Jurassic Park franchise next as they announced Jurassic World Evolution, a theme park management sim for Summer 2018 alongside the next major movie.

This'll bring flashbacks to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis from 2003 where you got to manage and run your own island-bound Jurassic Park attraction full of dinosaurs from the film. Now we're stepping into the near-future of Jurassic World.

"As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we’re thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World,” said Frontier’s Chief Creative Officer, Jonny Watts. “We’re excited to bring over fifteen years of management, simulation, and creature development expertise to a destination and franchise that remains an inspiration to us.”

Frontier's most recent creations include Elite: Dangerous and the highly lauded Planet Coaster, which is regarded as a spiritual successor to RollerCoaster Tycoon. In Jurassic World Evolution we'll take control of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands as we build our own park, bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, containment, research and of course attractions to draw in the guests. Just make sure you've got actor Chris Pratt on staff in case of calamity.

Jurassic World Evolution releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Summer 2018, alongside the movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June 2018.
