NES Classic Returns Summer 2018, SNES Classic Ships Into 2018
Nintendo are buried under huge demand for the 'Classic' editions of the Nintendo Entertainment System and SNES consoles and pledge more on the way.
The Super NES Classic Edition will be shipping into 2018 announced the platform holder, as they expect so many will be in demand. Much to the delight of Nintendo fans is also the announcement of the Nintendo Classic Mini making a return for summer next year.
The auction site eBay has been an obvious port of call for those looking to get one of those Nintendo Classic Mini consoles with understandably high prices. Nintendo has warned against paying so much for these retro re-releases as they reveal plans for more batches to be produced.
"Due to incredible demand for the upcoming Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, Nintendo plans to ship the retro-inspired product into 2018. Originally, shipments were announced to cease at the end of this calendar year. In addition, more units of Super NES Classic Edition will ship on its Sept. 29 launch day in the U.S. than were shipped of NES Classic Edition all last year, with subsequent shipments arriving in stores regularly."
Precise details about the return of the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition will be revealed in the future. The NES Classic Edition features 30 classic NES titles such as the original Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong.
