Fallout Shelter Xbox One Release Date Announced
Bethesda is putting the future of humanity in Vault Overseer hands on Xbox One and Windows 10 this week. It's like running an ant farm in the post-apocalyptic future!
Fallout Shelter is in fact already available on PC but a Windows 10 version through the Windows Store is going live as the Xbox One version launches, which means it becomes an Xbox Play Anywhere title - buying it for one platform means it's free on the other.
"Fallout Shelter thrusts players into the role of Overseer to build their own Vault, manage dwellers, and adventure through Fallout’s iconic wasteland. Since the game’s original launch in 2015, the game has continued to expand and add features, including Crafting, Scrapping, Pets, additional rooms, iconic Fallout 4 characters, and special Dweller customization options. The game’s constantly growing Quest system allows Overseers to send Dwellers out into the Wasteland to abandoned buildings, decrepit Vaults, and mysterious caves to uncover legendary loot and face off against enemies like Radscorpions, Ghouls, and powerful bosses."
Fallout Shelter was announced as something of a surprise at the time, and even more surprising was that it was releasing imminently on iOS and was entirely free-to-play with absolutely no need for any micro-transaction purchases because everything can be unlocked in-game. It eventually came to Android and PC.
Fallout Shelter releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 February 7th ,2017.
