Hannah John-Kamen Joins Ant-Man and the Wasp

In the first piece of major casting news for Ant-Man and the Wasp, Black Mirror’s Hannah John-Kamen has joined Marvel’s first post Infinity War movie in an undisclosed role.

John-Kamen, who, while not a household name, has been clocking up appearances in the likes of Game of Thrones, Killjoys, and Steven Spielberg’s upcoming Ready Player One adaptation, has already wrapped on Alicia Vikander’s Tomb Raider reboot.

So who might she be playing? Well perhaps she’ll appear in a flashback as the young Avengers founder Janet van Dyne, mother to current Wasp, Evangeline Lilly’s Hope…yeah, it’s a stretch but stranger things have happened. Plus, she’s only had one faceless cameo so far so there’s no reason why she couldn’t play Janet. Although that makes us think that particular role is being closely guarded for a stellar name to drop in for a cameo.

Regardless of who she’ll be playing, John-Kamen will join Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Michael Pena (Luis), David Dastmalchian (Kurt) and T.I. (Dave). Ant-Man director Peyton Reed also returns to direct the film, from a script by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release in the UK on June 29th, 2018, and in the US on July 6th, 2018.
