Today the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4 gets bigger as the Far Harbor expansion releases and with it comes an all-new area, settlements, creatures and troubles.

It all begins with a new case at Valentine’s Detective Agency which starts a search for a young woman and a supposed secret colony of synths. Far Harbor is set off the coast of Maine and it's been one of the most heavily hit by the nuclear war, so expect lots of rads.

"In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"

Those high radiation levels have created a much more feral environment to survive in as well as drawn the attention of the Children of Atom cult, who forever worship the green glow. Bethesda boast Far Harbor is the largest landmass for any expansion in their history.

Bethesda has already released Automatron and the Wasteland Workshop expansions to Fallout 4, which added customisable robot companions and more settlement creation options, which include caging creatures of the wasteland.

The studio has released an 'Exploring Far Harbor' trailer worth over 3 minutes where developers explain what wonderful tourist sights we'll see, and how crabby the local townsfolk are.
