Final Maze Runner Set For February 2017
Exhibitor Relations reports that 20th Century Fox have scheduled the release date for the third and final part of James Dashner’s Maze Runner novel series.

— Exhibitor Relations (@ERCboxoffice) April 18, 2015The film titled The Maze Runner: The Death Cure will hit screens on 17th February 2017 with screenwriter T. S Nowlin on board to pen the film. It’s unknown whether the director Wes Ball will return to the franchise.
Unlike other final novels in popular young adult series the film will not be split in two. However Dashner also wrote a prequel titled The Kill Order, with another, The Fever Code, due to drop in 2016, so it’s possible that Fox could extend the franchise by adapting these books, but the ‘Maze Runner’ series looks poised to conclude in 2017.
The first 'Maze Runner' opened last September to $340.7 million worldwide from just a $34 million production budget. The second film in the series, "The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials," opens later this year.
