She’s battled the undead in the Resident Evil franchise but now Milla Jovovich is swapping good for evil as she plays the big bad in Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen.

The Hellboy reboot sees Doomsday director Neil Marshall step behind the camera with Stranger Things David Harbour taking over as the giant-fisted demon as he and his colleagues (including adoptive father Professor Broom, to be played by Ian McShane), battle the nefarious Blood Queen, a medieval sorceress with plans to destroy the world.

According to Deadline, Marshall will be working from a script that’s currently been rewritten by Andrew Cosby who is working from a previous draft by Christopher Golden and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Aron Coleite – with Marshall looking to kick off shooting this September in Bulgaria and the UK.

Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen will emerge in cinemas in 2018.
