Thimbleweed Park Release Date Confirmed
Point-and-click adventure Thimbleweed Park will be out by the end of March. There's a murder case, a cursed clown and dead guy all needing our help.
Thimbleweed Park is a throw back to the classic adventures of yesteryear with verbs displayed on screen such as 'use', 'pick up', 'push' etc. It's designed by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick. Visually and in terms of gameplay it is a spiritual successor to 1987's maniac mansion and 1990's The Secret of Monkey Island.
"A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you've never visited a place like this before. Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don't know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they're being watched."
The game weas successfully crowd-funded on Kickstarter to the tune of $626k. In the adventure you control five different characters which you can switch between.
Thimbleweed Park releases on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android march 30th, 2017.
