Time to get excited Young Justice fans, your prayers have been answered. There will be a third season of one of the most acclaimed animated series of all time.
Young Justice debuted back in 2010 on Cartoon Network and became a critical hit among DC Comics fans for its strongly written characters and story arcs, however, due to scheduling issues, the show never found its audience and, in 2013, it was cancelled after two seasons.
Ardent fans have pushed for the series to be revived ever since, including a huge push earlier this year when the second season hit Netflix, and now our wishes have been answered as the show is officially coming back with a third season.
Warner Bros. and DC Comics have officially announced that a third season of Young Justice was entering production and that it would be a continuation of the first two seasons.
No network or air date was revealed, but they said that information will come later.
One thing that has been confirmed is that original producers Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman will both be both returning to the series.
To mark the announcement, a poster was released to make it all seem that little bit more real.
The early assumption would be that it would air via Netflix but so far, nothing has been confirmed.
