Team17 has announced they're sold on Radiation Blue's sci-fi game Genesis Alpha One where man takes to the stars in order to survive, and mess about with DNA.
It's a blend of first-person shooter, base building, roguelike and survival. The story goes that Earth is screwed due to over-exploitation of resources and dreadful pollution levels. What remaining governments there are team up with a handful of corporations to launch the Genesis project.
"As the Captain of a Genesis starship, you journey into uncharted space on the ultimate mission. Build and manage a space vessel, farm resources, deal with terrifying alien infestations, clone creatures and explore a vast, randomly generated universe."
What could possibly go wrong on such an endeavour? Lots of things, potentially, if the reveal trailer is anything to go by. It's all powered by Unreal Engine 4.
Genesis Alpha One is in development for PC and console with no release date yet.
