He’s been the driving force behind the Creed sequel and now it looks like Sylvester Stallone will also direct the follow up too.
Taking to Instagram, the man behind the Rocky franchise confirmed that he’ll be sliding into the director’s chair which seems both a natural choice but also something to be concerned about considering most of the vitality and energy of Creed came from co-writer/director Ryan Coogler.
That’s not to say Stallone doesn’t have a punching bag full of experience when it comes to directing movies.
Michael B. Jordan is back as Adonis Johnson, son of the late Apollo Creed, but beyond that little has been officially confirmed. Sly has been nodding towards an encounter with the son of Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago (the man who killed the elder Creed in the ring) but that is just a rumour.
Creed 2 will shoot next year.
