Netflix Announces 'Orange Is The New Black' Release Date And More
Netflix have announced a slew of release dates for their original series including the premiere of the third series of their successful comedy-drama Orange is the New Black.
Orange is the New Black, the show that charts the lives of the various inmates at the Litchfield Penitentiary will air its third series on June 12.
Also in June is the new sci-fi series Sense8 by The Wachowski's (The Matrix, Cloud Atlas) which follows 8 people from across the globe who suddenly find themselves sharing thoughts and feelings. Its first series will begin on June 5.
Netflix also announced that Wet Hot American Summer, a prequel to the American movie of the same name from 2001, will be appearing on Netflix on July 17. The satire follows the counselors of an American summer camp as they try to find love and keep their campers alive.
Between, the Canadian sci-fi show about a pregnant teen in a world where a disease has killed everyone over 21, will also be broadcast by Netflix outside of Canada. They have announced that it will start sometime in May, however a firm date has not been given. As the series is set to air terrestrially in Canada we can expect the series to release one episode per week rather than the Netflix method of releasing all episodes at once to aid binge watching.
