See Brian Cox as Winston in the First Trailer for Churchill
We’ve already seen him in character but now we finally get to see Brian Cox as Churchill, in the first trailer for Jonathan Teplitzky’s (The Railway Man) film of the same name.
Kicking off in June 1944, the Allied forces are poised to invade Europe, ready to wrest it from the iron grip of the Nazi war machine. However, one thing stands in their way: Winston Churchill.
Fearing a fallout on par with the disastrous command on the beaches of Gallipoli in 1915, and exhausted by years of conflict, Churchill is a shadow of the heroic man who helped his country resist the Blitz. He'll need the support of his unflappable wife Clementine (Miranda Richardson) to find the strength to support the battle plan.
Will he do it? Spoiler alert, you already know.
Co-staring John Slattery, James Purefoy and Ella Purnell, Churchill will fight them on the beaches from 2 June in the States and 16 June in the UK.
