Owlboy Announced By Indie Studio, Took 10 Years To Develop
After 10 years spent working on the game, the indie developers at D-Pad Studio have today announced their game, titled Owlboy, a side-scrolling action/adventure title coming first to PC via Steam.
In the game, players will be taken to a large, open-world, where they'll play as Otus, a mute owl struggling to live up to the expectations of owl-hood. When things go from bad to worse, and sky pirates appear in the skies, Otus will be taken on a journey through monster-infested ruins, have unexpected encounters, and be tasked with missions that will require some teamwork from close friends.
As stated on the game's Steam page, Owlboy has been in development for nearly ten years, but will finally be released this fall. An official date has been promised to be set at PAX West, which takes place between September 2nd - 5th in Seattle, Washington.
